XOS is seeking qualified candidates for the following job openings:
Position: Technical Sales & Marketing Manager – Upstream and Front End of Refining, Americas and Europe
Specific Responsibilities: Develop and manage market opportunities for Company’s cutting- edge elemental analysis products for the petroleum industry’s production and refining sectors. Specifically this includes:
- Develop and secure broad acceptance of company’s line of on-line elemental analysis products for crude, water and process streams. This includes extensive direct interaction with crude oil producers and refiners and their related engineering partners to develop analytical solutions for upstream, crude, process and effluent streams.
- Educate end-users on company’s capabilities and products through direct customer visits, demonstrations, industry and account seminars and presentations. Build technology credibility and manage product introduction from early adopters to broad industry acceptance of Company’s process elemental analysis solutions. Build and maintain high visibility with key accounts and establish relationships with key employees at these accounts by providing technical expertise and broad sales support.
- Collect and assemble market intelligence and customer requirements and expectations and develop a deep understanding of the applications. Identify common market trends and help refine and expand the company’s product offering for on-line elemental analysis requirement. Recommend product and marketing changes to encourage maximum sales activity. Provide input on the continuous development of Company’s products and potential products for the petroleum industry. Involve Company’s engineering and technical support staff to respond to market needs.
- Track sales activities and collect market intelligence for the territory. Track demonstration and quotation activities and analyze trends. Regularly generate sales forecasts based on sales pipeline activities and account insights.
- Selectively obtain support from indirect sales channels where necessary. In such cases provide direction to sales reps and distributors. Routinely track and review rep/distributor territory activities. Evaluate effectiveness of sales channels. Adjust or direct sales efforts where needed.
- Attend and coordinate trade shows and present company’s capabilities and solutions at relevant industry venues.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- 5 year minimum experience as a sales/engineering professional in the petroleum sector is required.
- BS in Mechanical of Chemical Engineering field required.
- This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. While frequent interaction and coordination with the manager is anticipated, the employee is expected to exhibit a high degree of self motivation and initiative.
- Job location is negotiable.
- The candidate is expected to have a thorough understanding of petroleum refining processes and related hardware and engineering environments.
- Must have a valid US Passport.
Position: Quality Test Technician
Position Overview: This position will report to the Manager of Manufacturing & Quality and perform final acceptance testing and inspection for x-ray analysis systems, sources, and related products. This position will perform radiation safety surveys of systems; follow established testing or inspection plans, maintaining required documentation; and provide support to Manufacturing, Service and Development groups.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct final acceptance testing on analyzers to verify performance and functional requirements are met. May include initial set-up of system and basic trouble shooting.
- Inspect other product for conformity to defined requirements prior to shipment. This includes checking for proper assembly, cosmetic defects, complete documentation, and basic operational tests.
- Perform radiation surveys on units to confirm that safety guidelines are met.
- Run special tets to assist with product or software development, recording observations, problems, and suggestions.
- Cross-train to perform other duties within the Quality group as required.
Experience/Education/Skills Requirements:
- Previous hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, test or quality work preferable.
- Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Organizational skills to handle simultaneous testing of many (10-20) systems.
- Discipline to follow defined procedures without deviation.
- Comfortable with basic computer operations and data processing, including file management, and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of basic statistics.
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment.
- Must be aware of and adhere to all safety related standards.
